Dr. Tony Devine is an Adjunct Professor in Social Studies and School of Continuing & Professional Studies at the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA. He is a highly sought speaker in national and international conferences in the United States and in 25 countries around the world.
He has more than 30 years of leadership experience in non-governmental organization (NGO) sector working with Ministries of Education, educational systems, schools, universities as well as private and civil society stakeholders to reimagine what it means to prepare students to be future-ready and be successful in all aspects of their lives. He led the development of the Transformation of Education, Moral and Innovative Leadership, Character and Creativity, Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Digital Literacy programs in different countries across the globe. These programs and transformational initiatives have fostered among students and stakeholders the development of character, values, and skills, such as leadership, creativity, problem-solving, communications, entrepreneurship, and collaboration in the application of new knowledge for the greater benefit of humanity.
Engaging in sustainability leadership, as the President of Global Peace Foundation Ireland, he initiated International Peacesharing Programs and Forums that expose practitioners, educators, peacebuilders, government representatives, and faith leaders to values-based peacebuilding and reconciliation. Moreover, he is at the helm of the development of the Education Division of Global Peace Foundation (GPF) and advocacy efforts in various countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Paraguay, Brazil, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, and the Philippines. He also serves as a contributor to the Advisory Group of OECD’s Future of Education and Skills 2030 Project.
